Bad Bad Brains

New poster for the upcoming Winnipeg show by Montreal psychobillies The Brains. This one was inspired by that creepy scene in Attack of the Giant Leeches where voluptuous harlot Yvette Vickers and some swamp hicks are exsanguinated by giant leeches in a slimy aquatic grotto. Positively DOA

Poster art for the upcoming DOA show here in Winnipeg. These guys have been one of my fave punk combos since the very early '80s so it was a real wild kinda thrill to get to do a poster for 'em. Havana A Go Go

Here's the poster for an upcoming benefit fundraiser for Solidarity Rock, a project aimed at strengthening ties between the Cuban and Canadian punk rock scenes. I just did the illustration for this with the final design being masterminded by local punk rock graphic design maestro (and Kids On Fire drummer) Steve Hallick. The moshin' Castro drawing is of course an homage to Shawn Kerri's famous Skankman logo used by the Circle Jerks. I'm finishing up several projects right now so should have some more new stuff for ya real soon. Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!

Running Wylde

Just finished this poster art for Aussie garage monsters Thee Wylde Oscars who are embarking on their first European tour this April. If their live shows are half as crazy as their album it should be a Wylde time indeed. Stay tuned for MORE OSCAR WINNING ACTION!

Rock Madness!

I drew this poster back in 2002 for a benefit show featuring a bunch of Winnipeg's best rock'n'roll combos. Squareheads singer and local rock legend Anthony Bueno was the instigator of this madness, which included the debut performance by local heroines The Quiffs. A bunch of these bands appeared on the Winnipeg Riot! compilation so dig up a copy of that CD if you wanna get a taste of what these shows were like. Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!

Super Rock Team-Up

Here's a poster I finished a few days back for a cool upcoming show featuring a bunch of bands associated with Winnipeg's only rock'n'roll record label, Transistor 66. This piece was inspired by a few hours I recently spent perusing a bunch of mid-'70s Marvel comics that I bought when I was a kid. That may seem like a pretty oddball thing to be influenced by (especially considering how terrible most of those comics are) but never fear, without a doubt I'll find something even more inane to pay homage to in the not-too-distant future. Here's an old drawing that I recently recycled into a poster for my friend Oscar (of well known Spanish rock'n'roll zine Kick Out The Jams fame) to use in promoting his garage rock radio show. From Hell They Came

This one was drawn back in 1998 as the poster for the first ever Misfits show here in Winnipeg. Due to a miscommunication between the promoter and myself the posters were never printed, though some photocopies of the art were made and given away at the show. Otherwise this has remained unseen until now, so here it is in a newly scanned and colored version. Also on the bill for this show were local legends The Horribles with their street-tough brand of horror punk. If I remember rightly the photo of singer Andy O. that's on the cover of the Horribles CD was taken at this show. Anyhow, keep an eye out for more regular posting here from now on and in the meantime and in between time... Stay tuned for MORE ACTION!

It's A Long Way Back To Germany

I thought I had posted this one long ago but apparently not. It's a poster I did a couple years back for one of the shows on Electric Frankenstein's 2008 German tour. The Demon's Claws

My old buddy Brian, drummer with the Demon's Claws and a bunch of other happening Montreal combos, asked me to design this poster for the release party celebrating the new Claws LP The Defrosting Of Walt Disney. Kind of a different style for me but I'm pretty stoked about how it came out. Also on the bill for these two shows are rockabilly maniac Bloodshot Bill and Brian's punk rock side project Genital Hospital. I should have some more new stuff for you in the next few days so... Final Conflict

This was the poster for a planned Winnipeg show by venerable UK anarcho-punks Conflict. The whole Conflict tour was canceled and legendary locals The Unwanted ended up headlining the show. Stay tuned for MORE ANARCHISTIC ACTION!
