Our lads from ComicBookMovie has uploaded this video of what looks to be a teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.

Now take note again, that THIS IS NOT YET CONFIRMED to be a legit trailer by DC or Warner Brothers.

But it sure damn looks good... complete with the intriguing captions:

'The Dark Knight Rises' Shows Its First Photo Of...

... Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises website has apparently have started of what looks like another massive viral campaign to promote the Christopher Nolan movie, just like what they did with The Dark Knight

Tom Hardy will be playing this intelligent, "steroid" (because I don't know what kind of chemical he's taking) packed supervillain who is most known to comic book fanatics as the one who broke Batman's back in DC's  1993 comic book story arc - Knightfall.

Michael Shannon is 'General Zod' in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' Supes Reboot

Zack Snyder has finally found an opponent for Henry Cavill's Superman- and it is long time arch nemesis and fellow kryptonian General Zod to be played by 37-year old actor Michael Shannon According from DCU blog The Source:

BURBANK, CA, April 10, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Michael
Shannon will star in the role of General Zod in director Zack Snyder’s new Superman film, titled “Man of Steel.”

Snyder stated, “Zod is not only one of Superman’s most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don’t.  Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role.”

As General Zod, Shannon will go toe-to-toe with Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film.  The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Michael Shannon was honored with an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Sam Mendes’ “Revolutionary Road,” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.  Shannon was most recently seen in the award-winning HBO drama series “Boardwalk Empire,” from executive producer Martin Scorsese.  He will next be seen in Sony Pictures Classics’, “Take Shelter,” from director/writer Jeff Nichols.

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film.  The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan.  Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

“Man of Steel” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

General Zod was originally portrayed by Terrence Stamp in the 1980 film sequel Superman II starring Christopher Reeve in the lead role. Stamp was pretty bad-ass there.

I wonder what they've got up in their sleeves now to make sure that they will make this a pretty interesting antagonist because lets face it - we have seen Zod in the movies and in comics before. We know pretty much know the bitter history between him and Kal-El's (Superman's real name) father Jor-El and more importantly what his intentions are. It would be interesting on what Nolan and Goyer would have to offer in this newest version of the villain. Will it be influenced by the recent Superman: World of New Krypton and War of the Supermen comic book storylines?

But here's one thing that will happen for sure: we will get to hear that familiar "Kneel before Zod!" line again. Trust me. Zod is never Zod without that classic.

Dark Knight Rises Fan-Made Posters Pack Some Serious Badassery

Its a shame sometimes that fan-made posters are way better than the official posters for specific movies. Creating bad-ass movie posters before much-anticipated films are released has already become a trend and such is the case for Christopher Nolan's upcoming third Batman film.

Our friends from geektyrant.com shows these two magnificent unofficial posters featuring the backs of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy (which I think is really WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio).Created by contributors El Gato and Ryan Luck respectively (don't forget to say thank you to these guys!):

"I'm bringing Sexyback. Meow!"

Admit it: You would have thought this is a Rey Mysterio poster if it wasn't for the bat-logo.

The film will star Christian Bale as Batman, Gary Oldman as Comissioner Jim Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, and Joseph Gordon Levitt (unknown role as of now) and is set for a July 20, 2012 release.
