Babe Of The Day: Tanya Tate (And A Chance To Have Lunch With Her at SDCC!)

I have featured three awesome Green Lantern cosplay babes here in my blog before, and one of them is  "cosplay extraordinaire" Tanya Tate (she's the blonde in the Arisia costume).

But at the time of me posting her picture, I didn't really know her name but she looked somewhat familiar to me.

Then after a couple of weeks I got an email from somebody thanking me for posting her cosplay pic on my blog, and guess who it was:

Tanya Tate herself.

So I immediately Googled her and lo and behold, I suddenly realized why she looked familiar: she is that same Tanya Tate - the popular British adult film performer (pornstar). And because I'm a dude, I have seen my fair share of porn videos and Tanya's films are just a couple of those I have enjoyed.

Did I replied back to her email? Oh hell yes. Tanya's very nice to talk to (at least based from our email exchange) and I'm pretty sure she's just like that up close and personal.

Anyway, she has been unleashing her inner geek and is making rounds in Comic-Cons lately. She has also opened her SFW (safe for work) cosplay site justalottatanya.com where fans could see her in spandex, giving her own spin on characters such as Emma Frost, Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and many more. 

And from her most recent email, she said that she is actually thinking of shooting some of her adult films in superhero costume but is quite hesitant because she doesn't know what the reaction will be. 

Let shed some insight on that. You know what I think of Emma Frost or Sue Storm or any of our favorite comic book babes in a porn film? AWESOME. So I will tell Tanya to just go ahead and do it for all of the geeks & and most importantly - for mankind.

The British babe has been cosplaying at comic conventions for the last year, wearing the easily identifiable uniforms of some of the genre’s greatest superheroes. Jill "The Nerdy Bird" Pantozzi Wants To Help DC Fix Its Social Media Problem

Yes you read it right.

Jill mentions on her column at Newsarama about DC's failure at taking advantage of social media tools like Facebook and Twitter to promote their brand unlike their rival Marvel Comics - who happens to have hired two hardcore Marvel fans to take care of their social media endeavors and talk to other fans  for a better interactive experience - and that they need to do something in order to accomplish it.

She actually has a "simple" suggestion for DC:

Hire her as their Social Media Darling.

Yeah that's pretty bold of her to say right at DC - but you know what? The idea of Jill Pantozzi's pretty face around DC's social media platforms interacting to other DC fans thru Twitter, FB and video blogs is an AWESOME IDEA. I couldn't even express how GREAT this is if it happens.

Let's face the facts. If you know The Nerdy Bird, then you're definitely aware that she's known all over the comic book world because of her write-ups on her blog, Newsarama, and on MTV's Splashpage.

Add to that the fact that she's a hardcore comic book and DC fan, (she literally breathes DC Comics like air) she definitely knows what she's talking about, and finally, the indisputable truth that she. really. looks. damn. good. Just take a look at her in this video review of "Green Lantern" (or google image her):

Now, who doesn't want to tweet to a bubbly, sweet and beautiful chick like that about comic books and just get their geek on? 

I'm sure a lot of DC (and comic book fans in general) would love to spend time on the talking with her. 

I know DC has a tendency to ignore their female demographic - but here's one guy hoping that Jill's shout-out would be noticed and come true.

DC just can't go wrong with hiring The Nerdy Bird to be their social media goddess. She would be a wonderful addition to their team.

I'm not a fan of Pokemon but I do know the TV show and the trading card game that is wildly popular. I also know that there are MANY cosplayers in the world who has given their best Misty impersonation - from the yellow top, short shorts/skirt, to the suspenders, and the hairstyle - and they are pretty good.

But this girl below my friends, is probably the bustiest best Misty cosplayer EVER.
