The problem I have with a lotta depictions of Cthulhu is that he just comes out lookin' like some kinda mundane dinosaur-type creature. He is supposed to be a god, dead and bloated in his undersea tomb, not some sort of wannabe-Godzilla knocking over telephone poles. In this piece (my Lovecraft magnum opus to date) I have tried to capture that idea to the best of my ability. More unspeakable horrors tomorrow.
